Boise Hawks News Release
YAKIMA, Wash. - Jeimer Candelario ripped a go-ahead two-out, two-run triple in the ninth inning, jumpstarting a seven run outburst as the Boise Hawks forced Game 3 of the Northwest League East Divisional Series with an 11-5 victory before 691 fans at County Stadium.
It marked the first playoff win for the Hawks since 2006 - with the winner of tomorrow's 8:05 p.m. (MT) tilt to meet Vancouver on Thursday.
The Hawks trailed 4-3 in the eighth with two outs, but Albert Almora tripled with two strikes and scored on a wild pitch to tie the score.
A two out walk to Gioskar Amaya started the ninth for the Hawks, with Stephen Bruno following with a single. Candelario gapped a ball to the rightcenter alley to give Boise the 6-4 lead. Dan Vogelbach would walk, with a balk forcing in Candelario to make it 7-4. Almora would add a two-run double, with Rock Shoulders and Trey Martin adding RBI singles in the inning.
