July 3, 2015 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Vancouver Canadians News Release

(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - Indians CF Ladarius Clark went 4-for-5 with four runs scored while 2B Dylan Moore collected six RBI, hitting his 1st grand slam of the season as Spokane drubbed Vancouver 17-2 on Thursday night.

The Indians would open the scoring with a three-run top of the 1st inning that included a two-run double from 2B Dylan Moore off of Canadians starter LHP Dan Lietz who went three innings in the lopsided loss allowing five earned runs before giving way to LHP Bob Wheatley with two on and no one out in the 4th inning.

Wheatley would fare much better as the native of Los Angeles, CA was tagged for five earned runs, which were the first he let in this summer in six appearances. The big blow to Wheatley's night came shortly after he came into the game as 2B Dylan Moore hit a grand slam over the left field wall to give the Indians an early 8-0 lead.

After a two-run home run off the bat of Canadians RF Sean Hurley in the botton of the 4th inning, the Spokane offense went right back to work as in the top of the 5th inning, CF Ladarius Clark hit a two-run home run off of Wheatley to make it 10-2 at the midway point of the game.

Spokane would shake salt in the wound in the top of the 8th inning as 12 Indians hitters would produce seven-runs with LHP Turner Lee allowing four earned while RHP Joey Aquino would allow three without recording an out. Seven straight Indians would reach base in the 8th inning including SS Yeyson Yrizarri who hit a two-run home run into the "hey y'all!" Porch to make it a 17-2 Spokane final.

Canadians 1B Connor Panas went 3-for-4 on the night while the top five hitters in the Vancouver line-up went a combined 0-for-19... The Canadians have now scored in just two of the past 40 innings dating back to Monday, June 29... Vancouver has been outscored 20-2 in the past two games vs. Spokane.
