Brockton 15, Worcester 11

Brockton 2B Shawn Williams hit his first two homers of the season, and the Rox offense pounded five home runs in a 15-11 beating of Worcester. Williams smashed a two-run shot in the first and a three-run homer in the fifth, and finished 4-for-5 with four runs scored and five RBI. 3B Phillip Cuadrado and RF Keith Brachold, who finished 4-for-6, each added three-run homers and 1B Melvin Falu smacked his league-leading 17th round tripper of the season. The power surge pushed the Rox out to a 14-3 lead, but Worcester's bats came alive late to make the game interesting. Worcester leadoff hitter LF Ryan Crespi went 4-for-5 with three runs and five RBI and hit his eighth home run of the season in the comeback effort.

Pittsfield 10, Sussex 2

Pittsfield used a balanced offensive attack to jump out to an 8-0 lead and never let Sussex back in a 10-2 victory. Early on, Pittsfield scored six in the third and two more in the fourth to build a lead with the help of SS Matt Nandin's seventh home run of the year. And starter Patrick Moran allowed one run on just two base hits in six innings to earn his fourth win of the season. Reliever Kyle Bradley surrendered just one more run over the final three innings. Sussex 1B Kris Sanchez hit his 14th homer of the season in the loss.

New Jersey 8, Quebec 5

New Jersey's offense exploded for five runs in the bottom of the seventh to take the lead and held on to beat Quebec 8-5. The Jackals trailed 4-3 before the big frame, and got strong pitching from three relievers to close the door on the Capitales. Reliever Edgar Estanga pitched 1.1 innings and earned his second win of the season, and closer Romas Hicks got the final four outs to earn his 15th save of the season. Jackals DH Jacob Butler powered the offense with a 3-for-4 night.
