Brockton 3B Phillip Cuadrado had a big game at the plate, going 2-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI to propel the Rox easily past Ottawa. An eight-run sixth inning capped an offensive effort that saw Brockton score 14 runs on 15 hits, more than enough support for starting pitcher Wayne Lundgren. Lundgren allowed one unearned run on nine hits while striking out four and walking none to notch the win and run his record to 7-3 on the year.

The Quebec Capitales got a solid outing from starting pitcher Orlando Trias to edge Worcester by a run on the road. Trias allowed two runs on four hits while striking out five and walking none in seven innings of work to pick up the victory and improve his record with Quebec to 6-1 on the season. Capitales reliever Jason Schutt came on to notch the final out in the eighth before retiring the side in the ninth for his 13th save. Quebec RF Mike Goss led the way offensively, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI.

The Skyhawks got a big night at the plate from LF Alex Frazier and held on late to upend New Jersey at home. Frazier led all hitters in the contest, going 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored. Sussex starting pitcher Kyle Ruwe kept the Skyhawks in the game, allowing six runs on eight hits in 6 2/3 innings, good enough to earn him his 10th win of the season. Sussex closer Matt Petrusek came on with two out in the eighth and fanned three of the five batters he faced to earn his 16th save.

Nashua 1B Bryan Duplissie was 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs and three RBI, but it wasn't enough to stop Atlantic City as the Surf scored four runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings and rolled to victory. Atlantic City C William Plaza led the way at the plate going 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and four RBI. Surf 2B Brad Thoma also homered and was 1-for-3 with a pair of runs scored and four RBI. Atlantic City starter Rory Shortell allowed five runs on seven hits while striking out seven in six innings of work to improve to 7-2 on the year.
