The Atlantic City Surf scored four big runs in the sixth inning to overcome a 5-4 deficit and edge the Ottawa Rapidz. The Surf were led offensively by CF Josh Burrus who went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and SS Derek Barrows who had a 2-for-4 day at the dish with a run scored and a run batted in. Atlantic City starting pitcher Rory Shortell notched the win going seven innings giving up five earned runs on eight hits with three walks and five punchouts. He is now 5-2 on the year. Surf reliever Kyle George hurled 1 1/3 innings allowing a walk while fanning two to collect his second save of the season. For the Rapidz in defeat, 3B Nate Hall went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI.

Nashua 5, Brockton 4 (10 Innings)

A bases loaded walk to OF Jerod Edmondson plated C Chris Torres in the bottom of the 10th inning and lifted the Nashua Pride past Brockton. The win for the Pride is their third straight and moves their record in the second half over the .500 mark to 8-7. 3B/LF Aregenis Tavarez and C/3B Mike Torres each collected two hits apiece to lead the Pride offense. Nashua reliever Adam Piechowski pitched two solid innings giving up a hit while striking out three to remain perfect on the season at 5-0.

Quebec 3, New Jersey 2

After the New Jersey Jackals took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, Quebec rallied to tie the score at 2-2 with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame. An inning later, the Capitales plated another run to take a 3-2 lead and held on to win by that score behind a solid outing from starting pitcher Michel Simard. Simard allowed two runs, one earned, on five hits while striking out four in eight innings to improve to 9-1 on the season. Quebec reliever Jason Schutt tossed a scoreless ninth to earn his ninth save of the year. The duo of 3B Pat Deschenes and C Greg Stevens provided the offense for Quebec, hitting a home run each and combining to drive in all three of the team's runs.

The Worcester Tornadoes took a 3-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back en route to an easy win on the road. Tornadoes C Alex Trezza had a productive night at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and five RBI. Each of Worcester's first three hitters recorded four hits in the contest, including 1B Chris Colabello who was a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs scored and a pair of RBI. In all, the Tornadoes collected 19 hits in the game. That was more than enough support for starting pitcher Junior Guerrero, who picked up the win after allowing seven hits in seven shutout innings to improve to 5-4.
