It was a record-breaking night for Sussex LF Alex Frazier as the Skyhawks used his tremendous effort to move past Brockton. Frazier was 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double and drove in all eight of his team's runs. His eight RBI and 10 total bases were both team records. Frazier's efforts overshadowed those of Ron Perodin, who finished the game 4-for-5 with three runs scored.

Worcester 7, Nashua 2

The Worcester Tornadoes used their bats and a solid outing from starting pitcher Reid Willett to move past Nashua and improve to 20-17 on the season. Three separate Tornadoes homered in the game, including LF Josh Beauregard who was 2-for-3 with two home runs and four RBI. SS Dominic Ramos and DH Patrick Perry also added homers. Willett got the win, to improve to 2-4 on the year. He allowed five hits and no runs through seven innings of work.

Quebec 6, Grays 5

The Quebec Capitales used some powerful hitting late in the game to move past the Grays and improve to 24-13 on the year. Four separate players hit home runs for the Capitales led by LF Mike Galloway, who was 3-for-4 in the game and hit his eighth. CF Goefrey Tomlinson, 3B Ryan Lehr and SS Takayoshi Uchida also homered in the game. Quebec starting pitcher Keith Dunn got his fourth win of the year thanks to six strong innings. Dunn allowed just six hits and two unearned runs while striking out three.

New Jersey 4, Atlantic City 2

New Jersey got a big night from C Matt Lauderdale to lead the Jackals past Atlantic City. Lauderdale finished the game 1-for-4 with a home run and drove in all four of New Jersey's runs. Trailing 2-0 in the fourth inning, Lauderdale hit a grand slam to left field to give the Jackals a lead that they would never relinquish. That swing of the bat benefited starting pitcher Josh Brey, who improved to 4-3 after holding the Surf to two runs on five hits through 5 1/3 innings. Jackals' closer Rusty Tucker recorded his league-leading 12th save of the year by tossing a scoreless ninth.

North Shore got an efficient outing from starting pitcher Matthew Bishop and some help from their offense to improve to 20-16 on the year and win their sixth straight game. Bishop allowed two runs, one earned, on eight hits through 5 1/3 innings, improving his mark to 5-2 on the year. Spirit 2B Gary Roche was 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI and RF Carlos Rodriguez was 1-for-4 with three RBI to lead the way at the plate. New Haven Co. DH Henri Stanley was 2-for-3 with a home run to lead the Cutters in the losing effort.
