Starting Tornadoes pitcher Mike Meagher picked up his third win of the season with a seven-inning performance in which he allowed one run on one hit and three walks with eight strikeouts. Meagher got run support early, as DH Patrick Perry singled in lead-off 3B Euvi Solano from third in the bottom of the first inning. Solano went 3-for-5 on the night with two runs scored. Leading 6-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Worcester LF Andrew Wishy finished off the scoring with a two-run home run to make the final score 8-1 in favor of Worcester. Atlantic City's only run came on a fifth-inning home run by LF Rob Fischer.

The Capitales worked their way around two errors to shut out the Cutters thanks in large part to seven strong innings from starting pitcher Karl Gelinas. Gelinas shut out New Haven County while allowing four hits and a walk with two strikeouts to pick up his fourth win of the season. Capitales C Greg Stevens got the scoring started in the top of the third inning with a two-run home run. Stevens went 2-for-4 on the night with a run scored and an RBI. Capitales DH Corey Stang joined Stevens with two hits, batting in one run and scoring two of his own. The Quebec bullpen finished off the Cutters, as Brian Dumesnil and Marc-Andre Major pitched back-to-back scoreless innings to seal the deal for Quebec.

Grays 8, Sussex 2

The Grays picked up their 15th win of the season with an 8-2 victory over Sussex Friday night. Grays batters were seeing the ball well, as seven registered hits, with three hitting home runs. Grays 3B Ben Tinius got the scoring started in the top of the third inning with a solo home run to give the Grays a 1-0 lead. Starting Grays pitcher Richard Bartlett earned his second win of the season. Bartlett allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out three Sussex batters. For the Skyhakws, SS Brian Rios went 2-for-4 on the night with an RBI.

North Shore 12, Nashua 1

North Shore C Alex Trezza homered for the second straight night in the Spirit's 12-1 dismantling of Nashua. Eight different Spirit batters registered hits in the game and six scored. Trezza led the way, scoring four runs and batting in one on a 2-for-4 night. Spirit starting pitcher Chris Farley improved his record to 6-1 with a solid performance. Farley pitched 5.2 innings and allowed one run on eight hits with three walks and three strikeouts. For the Pride, C Luis Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Brockton 16, New Jersey 10

The Rox trailed by as many as five runs early to the Jackals Friday night, but Brockton got contributions from seemingly everywhere in the lineup to come back and beat New Jersey 16-10. Rox LF Jeremy Coronado had one of the best offensive performances of the season, registering five hits, including his second home run of the season, in seven at bats with three runs scored and four RBI. For the Jackals, both LF Jud Thigpen and 1B Clyde Williams went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI, including one home run a piece. After the loss, New Jersey sits just half a game ahead of Quebec in the league standings.
