New Haven County won their fourth game in a row, coming from behind to defeat Sussex 8-6. The Skyhawks went up 3-2 on DH Rich Daly's third-inning RBI single, but the Cutters roared back with three in the fourth on 2B Jose Delgado's three-run double and added a pair in the fifth on RF Orlando Encarnacion's two-run homer. Sussex tallied three in the bottom of the fifth on Daly's three-run blast, but it was as close as they would get. CF Doug Vroman and DH Derrick Gibson both had two hits for New Haven County.

The Cutters completed the doubleheader sweep, engineering a late inning rally to edge Sussex 4-2. With two outs in the top of the seventh, CF Doug Vroman drove in pinch-runner D.J. Bailey with an RBI single to tie the game at two; DH Derrick Gibson and LF Horace Lawrence then hit an RBI double and an RBI single, respectively, to put New Haven County ahead for good. RF Josh Ury was the only Skyhawk to have more than one hit, going 2-for-3 in the game, while Gibson and Lawrence both had two hits for the Cutters.

North Shore 4, New Jersey 1

3B Jarrett Reininger's seventh-inning grand slam off of Josh Schwartz was the difference as North Shore snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over New Jersey. The Jackals drew first blood with C Jason Belcher's solo blast in the first inning. New Jersey starter Joel Bennett was superb, limiting the Spirit to four hits in six innings of work. North Shore starter Jared Trout was impressive as well, also giving up just four hits in six innings pitched.

Worcester 8, Nashua 1

An eight-run third inning propelled Worcester to an 8-1 victory over Nashua and moved the Tornadoes into first place via percentage points. Worcester's big inning featured two-run singles by C Onix Mercado and RF Keith Beauregard, a two-run triple from CF Lucas Taylor and single runs scored on a passed ball and on a sacrifice fly. It was more than enough for Tornadoes starter Matt Weagle, who got his first win of the season by allowing no runs on five hits in five innings of work. 1B Jared Johnson and 2B Ricardo Cordova both had two hits for the Pride.

Brockton 10, Quebec 5

Brockton used two big innings to get by Quebec, 10-5. The Rox scored four in the first on RBI singles from 1B Francisco Lebron and C Jason Radwan and a two-run double by DH Kris Zacuto. After tacking on one in the third, Brockton tallied another five in the seventh, including RBI doubles from LF Eugene Julien and CF Brad Rosenblat. SS Mike Scanzano and 2B Mike Torres both had two hits for the Rox, while 1B Eddie Lantigua was 3-for-4 and RF Benoit Emond was 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Capitales.
