
Cameron Korpi Named USHL Goalie of Week

KEARNEY, NE. - Tri-City Storm Goaltender Cameron Korpi has been named the USHL's Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season following his performances in the team's two road victories last weekend. Korpi notched his first shutout of the season in Friday's 1-0 road win over the Sioux Falls Stampede. He backstopped the team to victory in Saturday's 4-3 road victory over the Des Moines Buccaneers.
Cameron Korpi, 19, Goaltender, of South Lyon, Michigan, notched his first shutout of the season on Friday night in the Storm's victory over the Stampede at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Friday's decision was the first league game this season to finish with a final score of 1-0. Korpi turned away all 26 of Sioux Falls' shots on goal during the matchup, and was named the 1st Star of the Game. He made 25 saves on 28 shots the following night in the Storm's one-goal win against the Buccaneers at Buccaneer Arena. Korpi finished the weekend with a 2-0 record, a Goals Against Average (GAA) of 1.50, and a Save Percentage (SV%) of .944%. He currently leads the USHL in wins this season by a goaltender with six. His season-long GAA of 1.49 is among this league's leaders this year. His SV% of .941% ranks top-five in the USHL. Korpi is one of only five goaltenders in the USHL to record a shutout to this point in the 2023-2024 regular season.
