November 11, 2021 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Sacramento Republic FC News Release
Fans have voted his last career goal as the 2021 Goal of the Year. Presented by Power Business Technology.
In a tight final against Luis Felipe's Oct. 2nd stunner against Tacoma, Cameron Iwasa took the crown for the 2021 Goal of the Year, presented by Power Business Technology.
Cameron won with 51 percent of the vote, beating out Luis Felipe. In the prior rounds, Cam's goal went up against Juju's banger against Las Vegas and Kharlton Belmar's goal against Orange County.
Cam's goal made it a fairy tale ending to a spectacular career. Nabi Kibunguchy looked for space for his cross from the corner and found Iwasa on the back post waiting to head in the 60th and final goal of his illustrious professional career. Iwasa celebrated with a backflip before running over to his family and friends. Sometimes, sendoffs write themselves.
