
Camara, Scheifele Invited To Canada's 2013 National Junior Team Selection Camp

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts have announced today that forwards Anthony Camara and Mark Scheifele have been invited to Team Canada's 2013 National Junior Team Selection Camp in Calgary, Alberta.
Hockey Canada and the Canadian Hockey League announced on Monday that a total of 37 players have been invited to the camp that runs from December 10th to 13th.
Both players recently competed in the Subway Super Series and are thrilled to be invited to play for Team Canada.
Scheifele was drafted 7th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft and played seven games for the Winnipeg Jets in 2011 before returning to the Barrie Colts. Scheifele is one of six returnees from last year's team. He currently ranks 7th in Ontario Hockey League scoring with 21 goals, 23 assists for 44 points.
Anthony Camara was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the 3rd round, (81st overall) in 2011. Camara is having a career year in points with 34 in 28 games this season. His previous career high in points was 33 in the 2011-12 season, which was split between the Barrie Colts and Saginaw Spirit.
Team Canada earned a silver medal at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship in Calgary.
Camp begins next Monday in Calgary. Canada's National Junior Team will be finalized on Thursday, Dec. 13 and will depart for Europe on Dec. 15 to play two pre-competition games in Helsinki prior to the 2013 World Junior Championship.
Canada will play its first game of the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championship on Boxing Day against Finland at 4am et/1am pt.
