
Garret Sparks Named Hy-Grade Player of the Week

The Guelph Storm announced today that goaltender Garret Sparks is the Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, December 2nd.
Sparks was solid in both appearances this past weekend posting a goals against average of 2.00 and a save percentage of 0.923. On Friday, he made 18 saves, letting in just two, in the Storm's 3-2 victory over the Battalion. Saturday in London, the Maple Leafs' prospect stood on his head stopping 31 shots in the Storm's 3-1 loss to the Knights. He was named third star of the game.
Sparks currently has a record of 15-7-0-3 with a goals against average of 2.91 and a 0.916 save percentage. He sits 10th overall in the league in goals against average and 6th in save percentage.
Next up, the Storm head to Kitchener on Tuesday for a 7:00 pm match up against the Rangers before hosting the Owen Sound Attack at the Sleeman Centre on Friday night. Saturday they are in Erie for a 7:00 pm puck drop.
