Calvillo and Curry players of the week

Montreal, July 20, 2004 - The 2003 CFL Most Outstanding Player Anthony Calvillo and rookie Almondo Curry were respectively named Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, following the Alouettes' fifth win in as many games this season.
Calvillo completed 30 of his 41 passing attempts for 344 yards, with no interceptions and three touchdowns. The quarterback is currently ranked second in the CFL with 1,494 passing yards.
In his fifth career game, Curry returned two interceptions for 28 yards, knocked down two passes and recorded three tackles against the Calgary Stampeders on July 15, 2004 at Molson Stadium. The rookie cornerback is tied for first in the CFL with three interceptions.
Curry is the third Alouettes rookie to be named CFL Player of the Week in 2004 after specialist Ezra Landry and running back Autry Denson were selected earlier this season.
