Calgary Hitmen News Release
Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club announced today that they have acquired 18-year-old forward Steel Quiring from the Kelowna Rockets in exchange for 19-year-old forward Adam Kydd.
"Steel will be a valuable addition with his ability to play multiple positions" said Hitmen General Manager Jeff Chynoweth. "His age, skill and being a right handed shot will add depth to our forward group and we are excited to have him join our program."
Hockey deals like this one are always tough to make as you have to give up a good player to get one back. "Adam has played his entire WHL career with our club and is a quality individual both on and off the ice and we wish him the very best in Kelowna." continued Chynoweth.
Steel Quiring was drafted by Kelowna in the fifth round (89th overall) in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
