August 4, 2011 - New York-Penn League (NYPL)
Norwich Sea Unicorns News Release
NORWICH, CT - As part of the festivities for this Sunday's Sunday Funday against the Lowell Spinners, the Connecticut Tigers will be hosting C.T.'s second birthday party. In lieu of gifts, C.T. is requesting for fans to bring non-perishable food goods to the game. The Tigers will then donate all collected products to the Mayor's Pantry, a regional non- profit organization that feeds the less fortunate. First pitch on Sunday is scheduled for 1:05 PM. Following the contest against Lowell, the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, all children are invited to run the bases, sponsored by Ben and Jerry's, and have a catch on the field, presented by Dick's Sporting Goods.
The Connecticut Tigers are the Class-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play in the New York-Penn League. Tickets are on sale now at www.cttigers.com or by calling the Tigers box office at (860) 887-7962.
