Pearl, MS - The Mississippi Braves announce today Thursday, June 9, 2011, that INF C. J. Retherford has been released from the Braves Organization. In addition, Kenshin Kawakami has completed his rehab for his right shoulder strain injury and is now active.

Mississippi's roster now has 24 active players and 2 disabled.
