Buycks' Buzzer Beater Lifts Blue Past Warriors

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Oklahoma City Blue guard Dwight Buycks hit a game-winning three as the clock expired to lift the Blue past the Santa Cruz Warriors, 107-106, on Saturday.

The Warriors led 104-99 heading into the final three minutes but a three from Josh Huestis and layup by Marquis Teague tied the game at 104 with 42.5 seconds remaining. Santa Cruz broke the tie with a pair of late free throws, giving Oklahoma City the ball with 1.8 seconds remaining down by two points.

Tomislav Zubcic inbounded the ball to Buycks, who fired up a contested 28-foot jumper immediately to steal the win. Buycks finished with 16 points, seven assists and five rebounds.

Huestis, on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder, notched 23 points with five boards and three blocks. Teague scored 20 points with eight assists and Talib Zanna posted 15 points and 11 rebounds. Dakari Johnson added 12 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four blocks.

Oklahoma City (18-27) assisted 26 of its buckets and blocked 12 shots.

Santa Cruz (16-28) was led by Luis Montero with 20 points.
