
Busy Home Stand on Tap for the Mets Beginning Friday

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (April 23, 2014) - The St. Lucie Mets open a busy six-game home stand starting Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Tradition Field.
The Mets host the first-place Bradenton Marauders (Pittsburgh affiliate) Friday-Sunday, then finish the home stand with three games against the Charlotte Stone Crabs (Tampa Bay affiliate) Monday-Wednesday.
Friday will be action packed, as it is the first "bark in the park" at Tradition Field. The last Friday of each month is Furball Friday, and all fans are invited to bring their dogs to the game. Tickets for the dogs will be $2 and owners accompanying the dogs on the berm in right field are charged $4. All fans with dogs can enter through gate C to go to the berm.
Several local team partners of the Mets will be distributing free tickets to Friday's game at their respective businesses. Tickets can be picked up at BB&T, Seacoast, Florida Blue, Edward Jones, Ardalan Pediatric Dentistry, Self-Storage Zone, Sam's Club and Sport Clips.
Additional Friday Community Night sponsors are Lee Plastic Surgery, Bank United and St. Lucie Public Schools sponsored by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
Friday is also the Mets' team photo giveaway night where fans can pick up a copy of this year's team picture.
Finally, Friday is Ladies Night at Tradition Field. Ladies in attendance can enjoy $3 wells and $2 draft beer from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Tiki Bar.
The fun continues on Saturday morning with the Castle 5K race. The race starts at 7:30 a.m. and finishes at home plate. Every runner will receive a ticket.
Saturday is Port St. Lucie National Little League night and all PSL National Little Leaguers who wear their jerseys get in for free. All other Little Leaguers from other leagues who where their jerseys get in for $2.
Adult fans can take advantage of the Corona Light Special, which includes a game ticket and all you can drink Corona Light from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for just $10.
Sunday's finale against the Marauders is baseball and brunch. Starting at 11:30 a.m., fans can enjoy brunch and get a ticket to the game. Brunch includes a meat carving station, omelet station, hot dog station, bacon, eggs, french toast, biscuits and gravy, danishes, rolls, coffee and juice. There are also discounted Bloody Mary's and Mimosas.
The Stone Crabs come to town on Monday. All kids 12 and under get in free.
Tuesday is $2 Tuesday with $2 beer and sodas. Fans who show proof at the box office that they follow @stluciemets on Twitter can get a ticket for $2. It's also Silver Slugger's Night and baseball bingo will be played.
The six-game home stand concludes with an All You Can Eat and a Seat Wednesday. For $15 fans get a ticket and all you can eat hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni salad, chips, $1 soda and water and $2 beer.
All games start at 6:30 p.m. except for Sunday, which is a 1 p.m. start. Gates open one hour prior to first pitch (11:30 a.m. for Sunday brunch).
