HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- Matt Buschmann struck out ten but the Biscuits (36-32) were shutout after the first inning, dropping the first-half finale 3-1 to the Huntsville Stars (35-35) Sunday at Joe Davis Stadium.

Tommy Manzella's two-out, two-run single to left in the second inning would prove to be the difference in a game with all the scoring coming in the first two innings. Buschmann was tagged with the loss, allowing all three runs on eight hits over six innings. The ten strikeouts marks the second time Buschmann has reached double-digit K's on the year.

The Biscuits' lone run of the game came when Tyler Bortnick singled homer Hak-Ju Lee in the first inning against Hiram Burgos (2-1), who fanned seven over six innings in the victory.

Lee led a six-hit output with a 2-5 day.

Adam Liberatore and Frank De Los Santos combined to throw three shutout relief innings.

The Biscuits now enter the All-Star Break before heading to Mobile to take on the BayBears Thursday at 7:05.
