Pensacola Blue Wahoos News Release
There was plenty of fun to be had for another sold out crowd on Father's Day at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Fathers got to run the bases, so did the kids, families played catch in the outfield thanks to McDonalds, Dodge Ram pickups were available for test drives from Hill Kelly Dodge and fans got to sample Pensacola's largest ice cream sundae. It was all part of a Family Sunday to wrap up the first half of the Blue Wahoos Inaugural season.
As for the game, it wasn't the encore to last night's no-hitter the Blue Wahoos had in mind. The BayBears ran away with the first half finale by a score of 10-0.
Five Blue Wahoos will represent Pensacola in the Southern League All-Star Game. You can listen live at SouthernLeague.com on Tuesday June 19.
Pensacola will open play on the second half of the season on Thursday, June 21 in Chattanooga. First pitch against the Lookouts is set for 6:15. You can follow the whole series on 1450 ESPN Pensacola.
