Bundy Named Pitcher of the Week

Frederick, MD - Frederick Keys Right-Handed Pitcher Bobby Bundy has been named Carolina League Pitcher of the Week today. Bundy made two starts going 2-0 with a 0.56 ERA this week. He allowed three runs, one of which earned, on five hits in 16 innings while posting 15 strikeouts. It is the second time Bundy has been afforded the honor (May 16-22).

On July 18th in Salem, Bundy allowed two first inning runs but only two Salem batters reached following that. He finished with a 91-pitch complete game win, his first nine-inning complete game as a Key. On July 24th against Myrtle Beach, Bundy went seven innings allowing one unearned run on just two hits to post another victory.

The Orioles 8th round selection in the 2008 draft, Bundy has had a career-year in Frederick to date. Bundy is the second Carolina League pitcher to ten wins (the other being Frederick Keys LHP Nathan Moreau), going 10-5 with a 2.92 ERA in 19 starts. Bundy is 3-0 with a 2.52 ERA in five starts in the second half. Bundy, along with teammate Tyler Townsend were the two Keys named to the Carolina/California League All-Star Game.
