WASHINGTON, PA - The Traverse City Beach Bums(3-8) got the tying run to the plate in the ninth inning, but fell in controversial fashion, 3-1, to Washington Wild Things(6-5).

The Bums' Ryan Bottger led off the fourth inning with a walk. He was moved to second on a successful sacrifice bunt by Steven Patterson. Jose Vargas continued his hot start to the season hit a single to left, moving Bottger to third. Will Kengor followed with a single up the middle, scoring Bottger and cutting the Washington lead to 2-1.
