Belleville Bulls News Release

BROCKVILLE, ON - The Belleville Bulls hit the road again Sunday as they travel to Brockville for a date with the Ottawa 67's. It is the last exhibition match up of the pre-season for both clubs as puck drop is set for 2 PM from the Brockville Memorial Centre. Despite missing key players to NHL camps that began this weekend, both teams are fresh off of at home victories.

In front of an enthusiastic crowd at the Yardmen Arena on Saturday night the Bulls were firing on all cylinders and impressed their home fans with a dominate 6-1 victory over their east division rivals, the Peterborough Petes. Rookie Matt Luff continued to have a loaded stick as he added two more to his pre-season goal total, one on a penalty shot. Brandon Saigeon also had a big night as he scored two of his own, one being a slap shot from just over centre ice that somehow beat Pete's goaltender Dylan Wells. Bulls net minder Charlie Graham was tested often by Peterborough shooters but kept the door shut fairly tight as he made 32 saves in the win.

The 67's are also coming off a pre-season win, defeating the Kingston Frontenacs 3-2 in a shootout at the Smith Falls Memorial Community Centre. Rookie goaltender Leo Lazarev was sharp as he made 41 saves in regulation and stopped all Kingston shootout chances. Kemptville, Ontario native Nathan Todd put home the game winner for the 67's.
