Bulls Knock off Mud Hens in 11 Innings

Durham, NC- Chris Truby singled off of the Blue Monster to score Ryan Jackson with the game-winning run to give the Durham Bulls a 3-2 victory in 11 innings over the Toledo Mud Hens on Monday night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The extra innings win is the first of the season for the Bulls after losing in their first six attempts.

Ryan Jackson singled off of LHP Jason Jimenez (0-1) to lead off the bottom of the 11th inning. Gabby Martinez sacrificed Jackson to second and Brooks Badeaux was intentionally walked. After George Lombard hit into a fielder's choice, Truby singled off of RHP Chris Mears to end the game.

Jackson went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple and scored two runs. Chad Mottola and Truby each added two hits for the Bulls. Badeaux went 1-for-3 with an RBI and three walks.

RHP Talley Haines (2-1) picked up the win with two perfect innings of relief. International League ERA leader RHP Carlos Reyes went seven innings, allowing two runs (earned) and seven hits while striking out six and walking none.

Ernie Young went 3-for-5 with two home runs for the Mud Hens to increase his season total to nine. Mike Peeples added two hits including a double.
