Bullies Swap Mizzi For Fraser Clair
August 25, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have traded center Preston Mizzi to Dayton in exchange for the rights to forward Fraser Clair.
Clair, 23, tallied 11 goals and 25 points along with 96 penalty minutes in 59 games last season between Dayton and Cincinnati. The Unionville, ON native was traded to the Bombers from Cincinnati on December 10 in exchange for former Bullies forward Jade Galbraith. Despite playing in just 36 games with Dayton, Clair still finished 8th on the club in scoring with 8 goals and 18 points.
"Fraser Clair brings an element that I felt this team needed," said Bullies Head Coach Matt Thomas. "He can skate and chip in offensively, and more importantly he's an in-your-face type of player that can get under other people's skin."
Entering his third professional season in 2004, Clair has amassed career totals of 24 goals, 29 assists, and 200 penalty minutes in 126 games. He has also spent time in the American Hockey League with Utah, playing in 15 games for the Grizzlies back in the 2002-03 season.
Mizzi returns to Dayton after completing one season in Atlantic City with 10 goals and 36 points in 59 games. He was acquired from Pee Dee on October 1, also in exchange for Galbraith.
