
Pride Announce Plans for Upcoming Season

FLORENCE, SC â The Pee Dee Pride announced at an afternoon press conference the team's plans for the 2004-2005 season.
Pride season-ticket holders will receive added benefits during the upcoming season. Among these benefits are a special season-ticket holder only parking area, season-ticket holder only entrance near the box office, 10% off merchandise at The Jungle, and discounts on items at the civic center's concession stands.
The team also formally introduced its new community initiatives for the 2004-2005 season. For the first time ever, the Pride will have a kids' club, sponsored by Red Bone Alley. The Paws Pals Kids Club is open to kids 14 and under. For a registration fee of $10, kids receive a membership card, autographed picture of Paws, Red Bone Alley/Paws Pals t-shirt, autographed mini-hockey stick, private skate session with Pride players and Paws, as well as the opportunity to pick up chuck-a-pucks at all Pride home games.
Also introduced at the press conference was the Adopt-a-School Program and the Pride Business Plan.
Several different ticket packages are available for this season. Two different mini-game packages will be offered.
The Weekend Warrior Package contains all 25 Friday and Saturday home games. Some of the benefits of this package are:
· Same seat for all 25 games
· Access to the VIP Area before and during games
· Ticket Redemption Program
· Exclusive Season-Ticket Holder parking area
· Guaranteed giveaway items
· 10% off of merchandise at The Jungle
The Weekend Warrior Package is $199 per seat in the 200 and 400 levels and $299 per seat in the 300 level.
The Power Play Package consists of 12 of the best weekend dates. Some of the benefits of this package are:
· Same seat for all 12 games
· Guaranteed giveaway items
· 10% off of merchandise at The Jungle
The Power Play Package is $99 per seat in the 200 and 400 levels and $149 per seat in the 399 level.
Also available are flex plans: books of 10 vouchers that can be redeemed for 200 or 400 level tickets at any home game during the 2004-2005 regular season.
Another new program for the upcoming season is the Pride's Fundraiser Program. Non-profit organizations can purchase tickets for $10, and have $5 for every ticket purchased donated back to their organization.
The Pride also announced plans for Opening Weekend 2004, taking place on Friday, October 22nd and Saturday, October 23rd. On October 22, the Pride host the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies at 7:30 p.m. All fans in attendance will receive a rally towel courtesy of Wachovia Bank.
On October 23, the Pride host the Augusta Lynx at 7:30 p.m. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a 2004-2005 magnetic schedule courtesy of South Carolina Electric and Gas. Following the game the Pride, in conjunction with Archadeck of the Pee Dee; BB&T; Griggs, Floyd & Grantham; and Micky Finn's present the Blue Dogs in concert. The South Carolina-based band has sold over 100,000 records, and earlier this year released their new album, Halos and Good Buys, produced by renowned producer Don Gehlman.
The Pride also announced the remainder of its promotional schedule for the upcoming season. Some of the highlights include:
· November 13: NASCAR Night, featuring the annual Weiner Dog Race; Boy Scout Canned Food Drive; Coozie Giveaway from Micky Finn's; and Blades for Grades Redemption Night
· November 27: Camo Jersey Night presented by Buffy's Sportsman's Paradise
· December 11: Teddy Bear Toss (Florence County EMS) and Coozie Giveaway from Micky Finn's
· January 15: Health Awareness Night and The Woody's Post-Game Concert
· January 22: Thunderstick Giveaway presented by First Reliance Bank and Blades for Grades Redemption Night
· February 25: Christian Concert (Band TBA)
· March 5: Boy Scout Night and Mascot Night
· April 8: Fan Appreciation Night
In addition, every Thursday home game this season will be Thirsty Thursday. Draft beers will be available for just $2 at the five Thursday home games.

The Pride Youth Hockey Association will hold registration on Tuesday, August 31st and Thursday, September 2nd from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Florence Civic Center. Registration is $250 for mites, squirts, pee-wees, bantams and midgets, and $225 for mini-mites. The PYHA is also seeking coaches and officials for the 2004-2005 season.
