Bombers Acquire Old Face

(Dayton, OH) -- The Dayton Bombers have reached into their past to help lead them into the future. The Bombers have acquired forward Preston Mizzi from the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in exchange for forward Fraser Clair.
Mizzi, 23, a 1999 fourth round pick of the Phoenix Coyotes, was a key member of the Bombers' team that advanced to the 2001-02 Kelly Cup Finals. That year he had 18 goals and 24 assists for 42 points in just 44 games. That year he also played 27 games with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League, registering 3 goals and 3 assists. He followed that up with his best point total as a professional. In 2002-03, while a member of the Pee Dee Pride, he registered 22 goals and assists for 57 points in 67 games. Last year Mizzi tallied ten goals and 26 assists for 36 points while a member of the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. He also played 4 games in Bridgeport of the American Hockey League registering one assist.
"Every trade you look to improve. We gave up a quality player to get a quality player in return. Mizzi is a high energy and high skill player that will help make the Bombers a tough team to play against. Being a member of numerous winning teams including here in Dayton, we look for him to help bring the winning attitude back to Dayton Bomber's Hockey," stated Bombers co-owner, Don MacAdam.
The Dayton Bombers are the proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets and a member of the ECHL - America's Premier "AA" Hockey League.
