Bullfrogs Travel to Wisconsin Rapids for Game Two of Series

Green Bay, Wis. - Bullfrogs picked up their second win in a row as they took down the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 12-4. This was the second game in a row that the Bullfrogs have put up more than ten runs in a ballgame. The win brings the Bullfrogs second half record to 3-4.

Matt Ellenbest (Morehead State) picked up his third win in a row as he went five plus innings giving up four runs and struck out three. He gave up three quick runs but settled down and threw three straight scoreless innings. BJ Sabol (Indiana) and Jeremy Graf (Flagler) closed the door on the Rafters.

Offensively, the Bullfrogs exploded for 12 runs on eleven hits. A five run fifth gave the Bullfrogs their first lead of the game, a lead that they would continue to grow. The Bullfrogs would score four runs in the sixth, then three in the seventh to continue their offensive onslaught. Brad Hamilton (Kent State) finished the game with two hits, one being a home run. Parker Coss (UC-Irvine) had three run triple in the fifth to tie the ballgame.

Tonight, Stuart Springer (St. Edwards) will be making his fifth start of the season. In his last appearance, Springer came out of the bullpen and went two and third innings of scoreless baseball against the Chinooks. The Rafters send All-Star Chris Cooper (Texas A&M Corpus Christi) to the mound. Last time Cooper faced the Bullfrogs he went seven scoreless innings and picked up his fourth win of the season.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm from Witter Field.
