Bullfrogs Play Home-Home Double Header against Woodchucks

Green Bay, Wis. - After last night's tough loss in extra innings to the Eau Claire Express, the Bullfrogs have a quick turnaround today. The Bullfrogs and the Woodchucks will play a home-home double header. The first game will be played at Joannes Stadium starting at 11:35am. After completion of the first game, both teams will head to Wausau to play the second game of the double header.

Last night the Bullfrogs were unable to score late as they fell in eleven innings, 8-5. Stuart Springer (St. Edwards) got the start for the Bullfrogs as he went six innings, giving up four runs. The bullpen was solid once again for the Bullfrogs as Jeremy Graf (Flagler) and Harrisen Egly (Columbia) kept the Express off the scoreboard for three plus innings.

The team was led by Chris Botsoe (Louisville) as the outfielder had two hits on the day and drove in two runs. Quincy Nieporte (Florida State) had three hits and Austin Clemons (Louisville) had two.

In the 11th inning, the Express would plate four runs on five hits and one crucial Bullfrogs error. The Bullfrogs kept fighting as they had the winning run at the plate with two outs.

Today, Dakota Klein (Texas A&M) and Matt Ellenbest (Morehead State) will be the two starters today. Klein will get the ball in game one, he will be making his five start of the season. Ellenbest will throw in the second game, making his second start of the season.

The Woodchucks send Robert Ziegler (Kent State) to the mound in game one and Kevin Bolder (St. Cloud State) in game two.
