Green Bay, Wis. - Trailing for the majority of the ballgame, the Bullfrogs used two late inning rallies to complete the comeback. They defeated the Wisconsin Woodchucks 6-5 in the first game of today's double header. The win moves the Bullfrogs record to 11-18 as the Woodchucks fall to 13-15 on the season.

The Woodchucks came out of the gates quickly as they scored three runs in the first inning off of Bullfrogs starting pitcher Dakota Klein (Texas A&M). Klein was able to settle in to the game after the first as he went the next four innings, only allowing one more run to score.

The Bullfrogs would chip away at the lead by plating runs in the first and second inning. But down 3-5 in the seventh the Bullfrogs were running out of time. With Parker Coss (UC-Irvine) at third, Marcus Shoemaker (Lenoir Rhyne) sent a two run home run over the right field fence to tie the ballgame. In the eight, Laren Eustace (Indiana) broke the tie with a RBI double down the right field line to plate Randell Kanemaru (Columbia).

Matt Gunter earned the win as he went two plus innings of scoreless baseball. He closed out the game by getting out of a bases loaded jam in the ninth.

The second game of today's double header will start at 6:35pm in Wausau. Matt Ellenbest (Morehead State) will get the start for the Bullfrogs and Robert Zeigler will go for the Woodchucks.
