Bullfrogs Go for the Sweep against Woodchucks

Green Bay, Wis. - Last night the Bullfrogs got back on track with a 12-4 victory over the Wisconsin Woodchucks. Parker Coss (UC-Irvine) was the player of the game for the Bullfrogs as the shortstop went 3-4 with a home run and four RBIs. After the win the Bullfrogs record moves to 13-20 on the season.

The Bullfrogs got the scoring going in the second inning as Coss drove in a run via a sac fly and Brian Lees (Southeast Missouri State) hit a two out double to score Laren Eustace (Indiana). Trailing going into the third, the Bullfrogs would score four runs to take the lead and never look back. All nine starters recorded a hit for the Bullfrogs and eight of them came around and scored. This is the third win against the Woodchucks in as many tries and back to back wins scoring more than ten runs.

Tonight, Chad Mabini (Western Carolina) will take the mound for the Bullfrogs. On the season, Mabini is 1-2 with a 6.18 ERA. The right handed pitcher is looking to continue his recent success on the mound. In his last start, Mabini went six strong innings, gave up two runs on six hits and picked up the victory against the Eau Claire Express.

Marcus Shoemaker (Lenoir Rhyne) is a player to watch in today ' s game. He is currently in a 11 game hit streak. On the year, Shoemaker is the Bullfrogs leader in hits (41), runs (24), RBIs (17), walks (20), stolen bases (11), and average (.347).

First pitch is scheduled for 6:05pm.

Post-game fireworks presented by Pepsi will conclude the night.
