Green Bay, Wis. - A thriller in Green Bay tonight as the Bullfrogs win in walk off fashion. The hero, Matt Hoeg (Iowa Western CC), sent a single up the middle to score Austin Clemons (Louisville) for the winning run in the 11th inning. The Bullfrogs completed the sweep of the Woodchucks.

The scoring began early for both teams as the offenses were clicking. The Bullfrogs scored the first run of the game on a sac fly from Quincy Nieporte (Florida State) in the bottom of the first. In the next half inning, the Woodchucks quickly tied the ballgame after Chad Fleischman (Lamar) sent a home run to left field.

In the bottom of the second, the Bullfrogs would retake the lead as Laren Eustace (Indiana) scored on an error by shortstop George Janca (Texas A&M). The Woodchucks came back once again as they plated three runs in the fourth inning to tie the game at four. Connor Heady (Kentucky) had a two out RBI double to score Stevie Mangrum (Virginia Tech) and Steele Walker (Oklahoma).

The Bullfrogs were down 6-4 in the bottom of the fourth when Jonah Davis (UC-Berkeley) sent a towering home run to right field to cut the deficit to one. Hoeg came around to score the tying run off a passed ball by Jonathan Foster.

The game would remain tied as we finished nine innings of play at Joannes Stadium. Harrisen Egly (Columbia) pitched three scoreless innings for the Bullfrogs out of the pen to keep the game tied at seven. In the bottom of the 11th, Matt Hoeg came to the plate with runners at first and second with two outs. After fouling off some tough pitches, Hoeg sent a ball back up the middle and Clemons came around and scored the winning run.

The final score was 8-7 and the win improved the Bullfrogs record to 14-20.
