Green Bay Rockers News Release

After falling behind big in the first, the Bullfrogs suffered a tough loss to the Wisconsin Woodchucks in the 2013 home opener at Joannes stadium.

The Woodchucks propelled themselves to the victory with a big first inning, scoring five runs on a bundle of defensive errors. Wisconsin batted through the lineup the first inning, reaching twice on errors and three times on hits. Green Bay started Travis Duke (Texas) eventually settled down and did not give up another hit through his five innings of work.

In the second inning, there was a glance of hope as Jose Godinez (St. Norbert) launched a two run home run to left field giving the Bullfrogs their first hit of the night. Godinez would also drive in another Bullfrogs run in the bottom of the eighth to finish up his 2-4 night with three RBI. Tripp Martin (Samford) drove in the other run for Green Bay with an RBI single in the fifth inning.

In the top of the ninth, the Woodchucks were able to drive in one more run by an RBI groundout from catcher Ian McLoughlin (St. Mary's) to give them an insurance run ending the scoring for the night.

The Bullfrogs next home will be Saturday June 1st against the Lakeshore Chinooks with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Come out to Joanne Stadium for Sudsy Saturday presented by Bud Light with 107.5 The Fan and for another night of our Magnet Schedule Giveaway.
