Bulldogs Win in Kingston

The Bulldogs began a 2-game road trip Friday night with a 2-1 win over the Kingston Frontenacs.

Both teams had trouble generating chances in the 1st period resulting in no scoring as the Bulldogs out-shot the Frontenacs 8-2.

Kingston got on the board at the :16 second mark of the 2nd period on a power-play to jump out in front 1-0 but held the lead only until 8:26 when Matthew Strome (7) knocked the puck down in front of the Kingston net and tucked it home to tie the game 1-1.

The Frontenacs out-shot Hamilton 13-6 in the 3rd period, but the only goal came off the stick of Arthur Kaliyev (17) as the Bulldogs held on for the 2-1 win.

Brandon Saigeon assisted on both Hamilton goals to extend his point streak to 10-games.

The Bulldogs out-shot Kingstgon 27-24 as Zachary Roy made 23 saves to record the win.

Kingston's goal was scored by Brett Neumann (12).

Hamilton's season record improves to 9-8-1 while Kingston drops to 5-15-1.

The Bulldogs move on to face the Petes in Peterborough Saturday night at 7pm.

The next home game is Saturday November 24th against the Niagara IceDogs at FirstOntario Centre at 4pm.
