Brantford Bulldogs News Release
HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs have completed a trade that will see defenseman Jack Hanley head to the Guelph Storm in return for three draft picks.
In return, the Bulldogs receive a 2nd round pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection, a 3rd round pick in 2021 and a 4th round pick in 2020.
The Whitby, ON native skated in 63 regular season games last year, collecting 14 points (two goals, 12 assists). He also registered three assists in 21 playoff games. Hanley not only played an important role on the ice, he also had a great impact off the ice during his time in Hamilton. As well, Hanley is a two-time OHL academic player of the month.
"We would like to thank Jack Hanley for his commitment and dedication to the Hamilton Bulldogs organization," said President & General Manager Steve Staios. "He has been an integral part of our team over the last three seasons and played a huge part in our OHL Championship in 2017-18. Jack's impact both on the ice and in our community has been nothing short of remarkable. He's a young man with great character and an extremely bright future. We wish Jack all the best in Guelph."
