WINNIPEG, MB - Jaroslav Halak turned aside 27 of the 29 shots he faced in a losing effort, as the Hamilton Bulldogs dropped a 2-1 decision in overtime to the Manitoba Moose on Wednesday night at MTS Centre. With the overtime loss, Hamilton's record drops to 17-10-1-1, but improved its point total to 36 on the season.

After a scoreless first period, Prestin Ryan opened the scoring for the Moose at 8:13 of the middle stanza. Ryan took a shot from the point that took a strange bounce off of defenceman Dan Jancevski in front of the net and found it's way past Halak.

Kyle Chipchura answered for the Bulldogs at 8:56 of the third frame with his sixth goal of the season to even the score 1-1 and force the game to extra-time. Matt D'Agostini's initial shot was stopped by Moose netminder Wade Flaherty and Chipchura picked up the rebound and buried a shot into the back of the net.

With 14 seconds left in overtime, Brandon Reid notched the game-winning goal for Manitoba on the power play. Maxime Fortunus and Jason Jaffrey drew assists on the 2-1 goal.

The Bulldogs went 0-for-3 on the power play while the Moose were 1-for-7 with the man-advantage, capitalizing in overtime after going 0-for-6 in regulation time.
