Bulldogs Blank Moose 2-0 in Game 1

Hamilton, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Manitoba Moose 2-0 on Thursday night at Copps Coliseum in the opening game of their North Division Semi-Final series. Cedrick Desjardins stopped 21 shots for the shutout while Mike Glumac's first period goal stood as the game-winner.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring in their series against the Moose at 5:54 of the first frame. P.K. Subban sent a pass to Ryan White, who gave the puck to Glumac. Glumac blasted a slapshot from the top of the right faceoff circle that sailed past Manitoba starting goaltender Cory Schneider.

The ‘Dogs took a 2-0 lead at 3:37 of the final frame. White received the puck from Andre Benoit and skated behind the net before dishing the puck to Ryan Russell, who was stationed at the left side of the net. Russell ripped a shot that squeezed through the pads of Schneider and into the net.

The Bulldogs will host Game 2 of the Calder Cup Playoffs on Saturday, April 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.
