Bulldogs Announce Home Opener Street Party

October 2, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

HAMILTON, ONTARIO - Hamilton Bulldogs President Stephen Ostaszewicz announced today plans for a street party to launch the hockey club's 18th season and home opener against the St. John's IceCaps on Friday, October 11th.

The party will commence at 5:00 p.m., two and a half hours prior to puck drop for the Bulldogs' season and home opener. To facilitate the pre-game street party, Bay Street will be closed from Market Street to York Boulevard.

Admission to the party will be free and there will be food provided by Maple Lodge Farms. There will be family-friendly games, entertainment, sponsor vendors and a beer garden serving Molson products. Y108 will also be hosting its Drive Show live from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

"After a very successful off-season from a business perspective and with the renovations to Copps Coliseum, we're ready to unleash hockey in the City of Hamilton," said Ostaszewicz. "The street party is free for everyone to attend, so we expect to have a big crowd and a lot of fun before puck drop."

Tickets for Hamilton's regular season and home opener are available at the Copps Coliseum Box Office, online at www.ticketmaster.ca, or by calling 1-866-DOGS-TIX or 905-529-8500.
