
Bucs Fall To Force

DES MOINES, IA - Despite a two goal comeback, the Des Moines Buccaneers fell to the Fargo Force tonight at Buccaneer Arena. The final score was 3-2.
The Buccaneers were unable to come alive offensively until the third period. Fargo would score all three of their goals in the first and second period before captain H.T. Lenz would step up and score twice for the Bucs. first goal came off a pass from Connor Brickley just over eight minutes into the third period. His second goalcame just over ten minutes later, at the 18:05 mark, and came off of an assist from T.J. Tynan.
The Buccaneerspulled goalie Eric Mihalik for the last few minutes of regulation play to add a fourth forward to their offense. But despite their best efforts, they were unable to score.
Des Moines would have 20 shots on goal and were unable to take advantage of 8 powerplay opportunities. Mihalik would stop 29 of 32 shots on goal.
The Buccaneers are home on Saturday, October 24th as they welcome the Lincoln Stars to Buccaneer Arena. Its Miller Lite Buc Beer Night presented by LAZER 103.3 tomorrow night with draws of Miller Lite just $1 all night long.
