The Bucks wasted no time capitalizing on an early power play chance. Forward Jeff Bes picked up a loose puck in the right circle and scored on a wrist shot just 1:29 into the game. It was his team leading 19th of the season. The Killer Bees tied it when forward Billy Newson grabbed a deflected shot and slid it into the cage at 11:04. Late in the period the Bucks took the lead again as forward Igor Agarunov circled out from behind the net and lifted a wraparound shot top shelf for his fifth of the season and a 2-1 Laredo lead at 19:17.
In the second period each team had some chances, but neither could get the puck into the net.
The Bucks increased their lead in the third. On a power play chance forward Brent Cullaton ripped a slap shot from the left point into the top corner of the net for his tenth of the year and a 3-1 Laredo lead at 5:41. Laredo then finished off the scoring as forward Chris Grenville dropped a pass to forward Frank Lukes who snapped home a wrist shot at 16:51. FINAL SCORE Laredo 4, Rio Grande Valley 1.
