HIDALGO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will travel to face division rival Rio Grande Valley tonight at the Dodge Arena, as they look for their seventh straight win, and their eighth win in the last nine games. Game time is 7:35pm.

Last night the Bucks took care of Mississippi 5-2, scoring the last three goals of the game to win their sixth straight game, and giving head coach/GM Terry Ruskowski his 447th career coaching victory. Jeff Bes regained the top spot in the CHL scoring race as he became the first player in the league to 50 points (20-30=50). Bes scored a goal, and handed out two assists on the night to lead Laredo. Serge Dube handed out three assists in the win for the Bucks.
The Bucks scored three power-play goals last night against the Riverkings, who came into the game with the CHL's number one penalty killing unit. Laredo has 10 power-play goals in their last three games-the same number of power-play goals they had in the previous 24 games combined.
Dustin Traylen picked up his 15th win of the season in net last night, setting aside 29 of 31 Riverkings shots.
The Bucks have won their last four games at the Dodge Arena going back to last year's playoff series, and have won eight of their last 11 games at the Hive.
In Laredo's six wins over Rio this season, three players have eight or more points against the Bees. Bes (1-8=9) and Chris Korchinski (1-8=9) have nine points against Rio, while Rane Carnegie has eight (4-4=8).
The Killer Bees come into tonight in the midst of their worst losing streak of the season, which stands at eight (one loss in OT, one in SO). During the current slide Rio has lost by scores of 10-3, 10-6, 8-1, and 6-2.
The Bees, who will play five out of their next six games at home, are led in scoring by Rob Voltera with 28 points (12-16=28).
Rio's goaltending duo of Jeff Vy Nynatten and David Lemanowicz have combined for a 4.43 goals against average this season.
Laredo will host the Colorado Eagles on Sunday at the LEC in a re-match of the 2007 President's Cup Finals at 4pm. Family Four Pack tickets will be available starting at $48. The family four pack consists of four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for $48.
The Family Four pack will be brought back for all Sunday home games starting on Sunday.

**Bucks To Hold Press Conference January 7th ***
The Bucks will hold a press conference Monday, January 7th at 12:30pm at the Laredo Entertainment Center. The team will make an announcement regarding one of their long-time players. All media and fans are invited to hear the announcement, which will take place at the main entrance to the Arena.
Next weekend will be fan appreciation weekend. When you buy a ticket to the Friday January 11th game (vs. Arizona), you will receive a FREE ticket to the Saturday January 12th game (vs. Bossier-Shreveport).
Also next weekend during both games fans can enjoy half-priced beer from the time the doors open until the end of the first period. More tickets call 718-BUCK (2825).
**Bucks Notes**
* The Bucks are 10-4-2 away from home this season. After starting the year 6-0 on the road, the Bucks are 4-4-2 in their last 10 road contests, including winning two straight in Arizona last weekend.
* So far this season the Bucks are 10-0-2 when leading after the first period, and 17-1-1 when leading after two periods. However, when the Bucks trail after one, they are 2-4, and when they trail after two periods they are 2-6.
* James Hiebert has scored at least a point in 18 of the 28 games he has played in this season, including five of the last six. In the Bucks last four games Hiebert has scored four goals, with six assists for ten points.
