Des Moines Buccaneers News Release
The Buccaneers would be unable to stop the Musketeers powerplay in an 8-2 loss tonight at Buccaneer Arena. Sioux City would go 5 for 9 on powerplays in front of a second straight sell-out of 3528.
In the first period, the Musketeers would score two powerplay goals before Rocco Carzo scored to make it 2-1. The second period could be much of the same as Sioux City started the period with two more powerplay goals before Rocco Carzo would score again. The Musketeers would score three more goals in the third period, including their fifth powerplay goal. The final score would be 8-2.
Aaron Crandall, who started the game, would save 9 of 12 shots. Michael Houser would finish the game with 18 saves out of 23 shots on goal.
The Bucs are on the road to Green Bay tomorrow and return to action on Thursday night against Waterloo. It's Two Buc Bud Night.
