Cedar Rapids RoughRiders News Release
Bensenville, Illinois- Andrew Miller scored with just one tenth of a second left in the second period to propel the host Chicago Steel to a 3-1 win over the RoughRiders Saturday night.
Miller blasted the puck home from the right wing circle just before time ran out on the second period and just over two minutes after Jeff Costello had seemingly grabbed the momentum for the Riders by cutting the Steel lead to 2-1 with a drive from the high slot.
The Riders spent most of the night battling from behind after Brett Beebe's point blank backhander opened the scoring at 3:22 of the first period.
Josh Balch's backhander from the high slot extended the Chicago lead to 2-0 at 11:40 of the first.
