Bruins fall to Worcester

Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins and Worcester IceCats played the sixth game of their 10-game season series on Saturday night at the DCU Center, with Worcester scoring three goals in the third period to take a 5-2 decision. Providence is in fifth place in the Atlantic Division with its 30-25-3-7 record (70 points).

Providence defenseman Kevin Dallman tallied his second power play goal in as many nights, giving the Bruins a 1-0 lead at 3:56 of the first period. Brad Boyes gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead with a second period power play goal at 11:03 of the second period.

Boyes has points (12-10-22) in 16 of his last 20 games, and has 28-37-65 totals in 65 games. Boyes' power play goal tied the Bruins' single-season franchise record of 17, set by former Bruin Lee Goren during the 2002-03 season.

Bruin center Keith Aucoin had two assists in the game, and has points (9-19-28) in 18 of his last 21 games. He ranks third on the club with 18-39-57 totals in 58 games.

Goaltender Matt Underhill made 28 saves, giving up four goals. The IceCats' fifth goal was scored into an empty net. Underhill is 1-2-2 this season.

The Bruins return home to host the Albany River Rats on Sunday, March 13 at 4:05 p.m. Following the game, Bruin forwards David Gove and Pat Leahy will sign autographs free of charge on the concourse behind Section 110.
