Chilliwack Bruins News Release

Chilliwack BC - Goals by Mark Santorelli and Oscar Moller erased a third period deficit and lifted the Bruins to a 3-2 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings. Edmonton loses for the first time this season when leading after two periods, and falls to 15-1 when leading after 40 minutes. The Bruins win for just the second time this season when trailing after forty, and are now 2-23-1 in 26 games when trailing after two periods.

The Oil Kings struck nine seconds apart in the second period to take a 2-0 lead on goals by Brennen Dowd and Brennan Sonne at 11:27 and 11:36 respectively. Chilliwack answered with a goal of their own by Evan Pighin late in the second to give the Bruins some hope going into the third. Santorelli tied things up with great plays from Brandon Campos and rookie Kevin Sundher. Santorelli converted a Campos pass to tie things up at two. Four minutes later, Jadon Potter forced a turnover in the Edmonton end, with Oscar Moller grabbing the loose puck and snapping a shot low, just inside the post past Edmonton goaltender Alex Archibald. The goal was Moller's 30th on the season.

The Bruins now embark on a season high seven game road trip which will take them out to the East Division for six games before wrapping up with a game in Spokane on March 8th.
