Fargo Force News Release
The United States Hockey League announced the "All-Rookie Teams" today, and Fargo Force forward Tristan Broz was one of three forwards named to the second team.
Broz, a forward out of Bloomington, MN, was drafted in the 9th round, 142nd overall, by the Force in Phase 1 of the 2018 USHL Draft. He joined the Force for six games at the end of the 2018-19 season and had four points with one goal and three assists. The rookie suited up in all 48 games of the shortened 2019-20 season and was third on the team in scoring with 35 points tallying 14 goals and adding 21 assists. He led the team in power play goals with eight on the season. Out of all USHL rookies, the 35 point season put him fifth overall. Broz is committed to the University of Minnesota following his junior hockey career.
"We are proud of Tristan's development & growth as a player & person this season," said Head Coach Pierre-Paul Lamoureux. "As the youngest player on our team, he quickly earned respect from his teammates & coaches through hard work & dedication on a daily basis. Tristan consistently worked on his game & took advantage of the resources available to him. It's an honor for Tristan to be recognized as a top USHL player. We are proud of him & know he will continue to develop into an upper echelon player."
This is the second time in the last two years that a Force player has been named to the All-Rookie Second Team as forward Josh Nodler was named following the 2018-19 season.
