Saints Millette Announces Commitment to AIC
May 1, 2020 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
Fighting Saints forward Reggie Millette became the second Saints player to commit to college during the offseason, announcing his commitment to American International College on Wednesday. Millette was a do-it-all player for Dubuque in his first season at the USHL level, adding depth and grit to the Saints bottom-six all season long.
"Watching Reggie play- his dreadlocks barely fitting under his helmet- you might think he's got a big ego," said head coach Oliver David. "That's not the case at all. Reggie is the ultimate team player. He always puts the team first. He has what it takes to win...he's got "it"."
We are so proud of Reggie. His value to our team is immeasurable.
Millette was a crowd favorite in Dubuque during the 2019-20 season, often hearing his name chanted by the crowd at the Mystique Ice Center. The Saints forward was a physical presence in the lineup, helping add considerable value on the penalty kill. Millette finished the season with nine points on three goals and six assists in his 48 games.
"It's an honor," said Millette. "It means I'm taking steps in the right direction and I couldn't be more happy about everything."
Millette becomes the 20th player from the 2019-20 squad to ink a college commitment. And the first of the 20 to head to the AIC Yellow Jackets. He is committed to AIC for the 2021-22 season.
