Brownsville Police Win Charity Softball Game

Harlingen, TX - The Brownsville Police Department Enforcers defeated the Harlingen Police Department Blue Heat 15-11 today at Harlingen Field in a charity softball game. Harlingen was playing for the Cameron County Child Advocacy Center while Brownsville was playing for a paralyzed child.

The Enforcers built a 13-0 lead before the Blue Heat finally scratched out a run in the fifth. That opened the door for the squad from Harlingen in the sixth as they scored 9 runs while sending 15 men to the plate.

WhiteWings pitching coach Erik Moreno and public address announcer Jose Agular joined the Harlingen squad.

The first half champion Rio Grande WhiteWings and Alexandria Aces face off for the final time during the regular season tonight at 7:05 p.m. Angel Cordero (1-0) is expected to face Adam Frey (6-3).
