(Windsor, ON) - Spitfires General Manager Warren Rychel has traded defenceman Graeme Brown to the Kingston Frontenacs, in exchange for Kingston's 4th round pick in 2017.

Brown, 19, played parts of three seasons with the Spitfires after being selected in the 3rd round, (#45 overall) in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection.

The Gananoque, Ontario native, who heads back home to the Kingston area, played 137 games in Windsor, posting three goals and 13 assists with 125 penalty minutes and a -34 rating.

Also, the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL have claimed overage forward Sam Povorozniouk off CHL waivers.

A former 2nd round pick (#35 overall) of the Saginaw Spirit in 2011, Povorozniouk, 20, scored 27 goals and added 38 assists in 108 games after being acquired from the Kingston Frontenacs in December of 2013.

"I'd like to thank both Graeme and Sam for their contributions to the Windsor Spitfires and wish them continued success with their new clubs," Rychel said.
