Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - CF Montréal announced on Friday the addition of the Brossard Soccer Association as the newest club partner to join the team's Scouting and Development Centre.
As CF Montréal has sought to establish a more sustained collaboration plan with its partners, the Scouting and Development program has taken on a new form this year. This revised consultative partnership formula allows participating clubs to take full advantage of CFMTL's resources, both at the technical and administrative levels, including weekly on-site visits. Partner clubs also have exclusive access to CF Montréal activities and initiatives such as tournaments, camps and technical competitions.
"After my first meeting with George and Rogério, I quickly realized that this club is headed in the right direction and is full of ambition," said CF Montréal Academy Development Director of External Programs Marinos Papageorgopoulos. "The Brossard Soccer Association is a club with a long history, and we are pleased to continue helping it build on that legacy," he added.
"Our goal for all our players is to provide them with the best service possible," said AS Brossard Director General George Tsantopoulos. "There is no doubt that this partnership with CF Montréal allows us to deliver on that promise and give the players an unforgettable experience."
"We are thrilled to partner with CF Montréal. I have no doubt that our members will be able to live a richer experience by getting to closely work with a professional club," noted AS Brossard Technical Director Rogério Crespo. "All the support given by CF Montréal will provide us with an even higher quality of service."
On September 24, FC Laval became the first amateur club to join the new iteration of CF Montréal's Scouting and Development Centre.
Launched July 2, 2019, the Scouting and Development Centre is a high-performance development and identification program developed by the Club's Academy and its educators. The initiative includes visits with partner clubs and is part of a broader desire to share the Academy's knowledge, training and methodologies in order to strengthen ties with the Quebec soccer community.
